Sabbath, 11 Oct 2003 marked a special day at the Leamington Mission. It was the last official Sabbath that Pastor Alan & Christine Conroy were with us. The day was one of celebration of their ministry and was shared with friends and family from near and far. Alan & Christine have served the Leamington Church since its inception in January 1991, with just 18 members at the time. By hard work, prayer and devotion Alan has grown a Church now numbering almost one hundred, which has initiative, is self-reliant, and takes responsibility for running a wide range of activities to which all are invited. The service was led by the lively worship band doing some old and new favourites and Alan concluded his ministry there with a truly uplifting sermon. At the end of the service there was a presentation in which the church presented Alan & Christine with a painting of the Mission and a photo collage summarizing many of the wonderful moments shared with the church and its members. The members of Leamington Church wish Alan & Christine all the best, but not farewell as they will always be an important part of our church!
