In November 2003 the Leamington Spa Mission ran their first Alpha Course. Amongst the newcomers attending the course was Emma Bright, a student from Warwick University. Emma's main motivation for attending the Alpha Course was to learn more about the Bible and Christianity in general.

Many of her friends were more acquainted with Christianity than she was, so the Alpha Course seemed the ideal opportunity to find out more and answer her questions. After the 10-week course had ended Emma continued to attend church and has become a friendly face and much valued member of the worship band. On the 3rd of July she took a public stand in the presence of her family and newfound friends and was baptised by Pastor Rudika Puskas. The day was a blessed and memorable one and all at the Leamington Mission are delighted to welcome Emma into our church.
